Mohammad Khatir was appointed Vice President of Risk Control and the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Aramco Trading on March 2, 2022.
Prior to this appointment, he was the Managing Director and Board Member of Aramco Trading Singapore (ATS) from 2018, where he was in charge of establishing its trading business and activities. In the same period, he also served as the Global Head of naphtha and liquified natural gas (LNG) for ATC.
At ATC, he assumed Trading roles in various products such as fuel oil, derivatives, gasoline, naphtha, and crude oil, and was responsible for commissioning ATC’s gasoline blending activities back in 2013.
In 2011, he joined the team responsible for establishing Aramco Trading. In 2009, he handled various roles at Ras Tanura Refinery and Terminal. In 2006, he joined Saudi Aramco’s marketing department.
Mohammad joined Saudi Aramco in 1999 through the company’s Far East graduate program, where he learned Chinese and acquired his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from Beijing’s University of International Business and Economics.
