Nawaf K. Al Dabal is the Senior Vice President of Group Finance & Development Support of Saudi Aramco since October 1, 2022 and the concurrent Senior Vice President & Treasurer (A) effective June 1, 2023.

As Treasurer, Nawaf is responsible for promoting Saudi Aramco’s fiscal discipline and optimizing the funding strategy by leading global liquidity management, capital market engagement, group financing, and financial risk management. As SVP Group Finance, he manages the digitalization, board advisory and consulting for group affiliates, finance leadership development as well as M&A support activities, including structuring, valuation, and due diligence.

Nawaf had been holding the position of Assistant Treasurer and General Manager of Strategic Finance & Development from February 2019. Prior to that, he held the position of General Manager of Transaction Development in New Business Development, where he handled various leadership roles managing Downstream acquisitions, which included Motiva in the United States, SASREF in Saudi Arabia, and the investment in Hyundai Oil Bank. He also served as the manager of the Joint Venture Support & Financial Consulting Department, manager of IPO Readiness, and the head of Investment Analysis in Corporate Planning.

Nawaf spearheaded several major corporate initiatives, including Saudi Aramco’s inaugural international Sukuk issuance, the launch of Group Treasury to optimize and capture value from treasury operations globally, and the establishment of Altamayyuz Academy, a Kingdom-wide initiative to develop future leaders of finance and accounting. Additional responsibilities involved serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for both Stellar Insurance and Altamayyuz Academy.

Nawaf is also a member of the Board of Aramco Overseas Company (AOC), Wa’ed, and the newly-formed Aramco Digital Company (ADC), and previously served on the Boards of JASARA, SASREF, SPOL, and Tasheelat Marketing Company JV.

Nawaf joined Saudi Aramco’s International Joint Venture Coordination Department in 1997. He holds a B.S. degree in Finance from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, an MBA from Rice University, and a Master’s degree in International Oil & Gas Leadership from the Graduate Institute in Geneva. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management Program.
